Students studying at universities on a paid basis will be given the opportunity to switch to the budget “as a matter of priority” if they fought in Ukraine. This was announced at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova. According to her, for this purpose, the government will be given the authority to redistribute vacant state-funded places in universities.
She added that already in the next academic year, participants in the war in Ukraine will be able to enter universities for selected specialties according to separate quotas. Also, the military will be able to take preparatory courses for admission to universities for free.
