In December 2022 , it became known that the man was suspected of having created a Twitter account while in the medical unit of IK-1 and making publications in it that negatively characterized military personnel and employees of the Russian Guard, as well as containing calls for “violent actions in attitude towards Vladimir Putin and the Russian Federation as a whole.”
According to human rights activists, the new case contains signs of fabrication. The Network Freedom Project indicates that the account from which the tweets imputed to Sinitsa were published was registered in October 2022. Moreover, the first publication in it is a quote from a tweet for which the man is serving his current sentence.
Vladislav Sinitsa is the last person involved in the “Moscow case” remaining in prison . The man was detained in August 2019 at a rally for allowing independent candidates to run for elections to the Moscow City Duma. He was then questioned on the charge of inciting hatred and taken into custody two days later.
According to investigators, on his Twitter account, which he maintained under the nickname “Max Steklov,” Sinitsa published an entry calling for violent acts against the children of security forces. In September 2019, he was sentenced to five years in prison under the article of inciting hatred or enmity with the threat of violence (Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code).
In the tweet that became the reason for initiating the case, Sinitsa suggested that some people could harm the children of security forces for their participation in the dispersal of rallies. At the same time, the blogger did not call for violence.
