The US coast guard said the wreckage testifies to the “catastrophic explosion” of the Titan apparatus. The search for the bodies of five men who are considered dead will continue. The coast guard representative John Moger noted that the environment at the bottom of the ocean is unfavorable, so it is still impossible to talk about prospects.

In the afternoon (at about 14:15 to Moscow time), a supply of oxygen, which was designed for 96 hours of swimming, ended on board the missing submarine. Rescuers in four days of searches did not find a submarine.

Communication with a private submarine disappeared on June 18 in the morning. At this point, the immersion lasted an hour and 45 minutes.

On board the underwater apparatus were five people, including 58-year-old British billionaire Hamish Harding. Also inside were the 48-year-old businessman from Pakistan Shahzad Davud and his 19-year-old son Suleman, the 61-year-old founder of Oceangate Stocton Rush and the 77-year-old French researcher Paul-Henri Narzhole.
