The Zamoskvoretsky Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office of Moscow opened an administrative case against a local resident Adam Fox - the reason was a picture published on VKontakte six years ago. Before that, two policemen were on duty at his door all night, Fox told OVD-Info.
The young man was charged with an article on public desecration of religious objects (part 2 of article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The picture that became the reason for initiating the case was described by the security forces as follows : "A photograph of a cross with the image of" Jesus Christ ", leaning against a woman's crotch."
On June 21, the security forces, among whom, according to Fox, were representatives of the special services, came to his apartment and, without serving a summons, demanded to go with them to the prosecutor's office. The young man refused, then, according to Fox, they began to threaten him with an article on disobedience to representatives of the authorities (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), which implies administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
The young man said that the security forces did not let him close the door and “controlled him so that he would not run away.” Then Fox's family managed to call a lawyer, who agreed that the young man would come to the prosecutor's office the next day. At the same time, according to the interlocutor of OVD-Info, two policemen were on duty all the next night at the door to his apartment. Then they accompanied the young man to the subway - on the way from home to the prosecutor's office.
Fox also noted that during the visit, the security forces were interested in his attitude to the war in Ukraine. On the night of the same day, after searching for a lawyer, his mother received a call from a certain person who introduced himself as an investigator. He also asked the woman questions about her attitude to the invasion of Ukraine, as well as about her son's friends who left Russia.
The interlocutor of OVD-Info suggested that the interest of the security forces is connected with his communication with comrades who left the country.
