The Communists called for a boycott of the election of the governor of Primorsky Krai, which should take place this year. The regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation published a statement on its website.
It states that the party will not nominate its own candidate for the gubernatorial election. “In Primorsky Krai, due to the actions of the administration, the elections turned out to be without a choice,” the official statement says.
The communists also said that the "ruling circles" continue to manipulate the Russian electoral system and expand the ways of obtaining a "predetermined result." “As a result, the authority and trust in the authorities are falling,” the party noted.
In particular, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation emphasizes that multi-day voting narrows the ability of society to control the election procedure. And electronic voting allows you to manipulate the results "in the interests of the party in power."
The communists urged their voters to spoil the ballots on the last day of voting, crossing out the names of all candidates.
