According to the publication, the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023 offered several airlines to lease the MS-21 aircraft at a price of 4.3-4.6 billion rubles (about 50-54 million dollars at the current exchange rate). ). The planes were supposed to be delivered in 2028-2030.

These prices took into account government subsidies for the purchase of new aircraft. At the same time, not a single contract was signed, and, as airline representatives told the publication, they expect that in the future the price for one aircraft will exceed five billion rubles. Sources of "Kommersant" noted that Russia has built perhaps the most expensive aircraft in this class.

According to the publication, the market price of the MS-21 analogues - Airbus A320 / A321 and Boeing 737-800 and MAX - is about $50 million or less. At the same time, experts interviewed by Kommersant noted that "both the MS-21 itself and its resource remain a big surprise."

In April, the head of Rostec, whose structures are building the MS-21, Sergey Chemezov, argued that "the cost of the new MS-21 for Russian carriers will be unambiguously lower than the market."
