The Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov said that from Monday, if the situation does not deteriorate, residents of the border city of Shebekino will be able to return home. Already now, according to the head of the region, more than 10% of residents returned to the city - about 4 thousand people. The rest of the Shebekin residents are still in the points of temporary accommodation - the exact number of refugees is unknown, since not all traveled officially recorded.
Shebekino began to fire less - the last five days no more than 40 arrivals occur per day.
Recall that the maximum number of strokes was on May 31 and June 1. On May 31, the governor even, contrary to tradition, did not call the exact number of arrivals, limiting himself to the word “many”, on June 1, the Shebekinsky city district fired 850 times.
Meanwhile, last week, many Shebekin workers received an order to return to their duties. Residents complained to the governor of employers: some began to demand the threat of dismissal to demand that the employees go to work. This was reported by local media, also confirmed the governor.
As a local resident Vladimir told Novaya Gazeta Europe, some Shebekin residents left for other cities and cannot quickly return from there. In this case, employers usually offer them to go on vacation at their own expense or send them on a paid vacation, which was planned for another time.
Our interlocutor explained that many enterprises in the dilapidated city have already started work. This was also stated by the governor: for example, the hospital of the district hospital, as well as some grocery stores, pharmacies, building materials and household goods, officially earned .
“Locals are glad, who is not very. Nobody wants to be left without work, ”says Vladimir.
The authorities do not take measures to strengthen security, says a resident of the city:
The bomb shelters, which for the Shebekins serve the cellars of houses, are closed due to anti-terrorist measures-only individual residents have keys.
If the shelling is found on the street, then hiding in a foreign basement will not work. Even after strong arrivals, the situation with shelters did not change.
Nor everyone gives body armor - Vladimir says that only power engineers saw “in armor”. But the gas workers and employees of Vodokanal usually go without ammunition.
