The court arrested the general director of the Avtomatika concern, part of Rostec, in a fraud case

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation demanded the arrest of the general director of the Avtomatika concern, Andrei Motorko, until August 27 in the case of fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). It is reported by TASS.

The press service of the Presnensky Court of Moscow told the agency that a petition from the investigation had been received to take Motorko into custody. The meeting will take place shortly.

In addition, the investigators asked to arrest the head of NIO-3 of the Avtomatika concern Alexander Nesterov in the same case. Mediazona, citing the press service of the court, reported that the court had arrested Nesterov.

In March, Meduza and The Bell published an investigation stating that in 2021 the Avtomatika concern acquired the Okhotnik software, which allows you to calculate the accounts of administrators and owners of anonymous Telegram channels.

Journalists found out that Rostec is developing a new software package that will appear on the market this year. In particular, the Russian security forces will be able to use it.
