The story of Roman Ivanov begins like all other political prisoners - from a search. On April 11, security officials came to the family of a journalist in Korolev. According to the wife of Roman Maria Ivanova, the “human rights activists” began to break out the door and turned on the “jammers”, so it did not work out to contact lawyers or relatives. All equipment was removed from the apartment, but they did not write about this in the protocol, indicating that the Ivanovs resisted, "almost the barricades were built."
The journalist was taken for interrogation to the Investigative Committee. Ivanov did not plead guilty and refused to testify. At the trial, when choosing a preventive measure, he stated that he was persecuted in Korolev since 2020. Ivanov was repeatedly detained on stocks. So, last fall, he was appointed 7 days of administrative arrest for participating in an inconsistent campaign, although he was present there as a journalist.
The reason for the current persecution was the publication of the journalist in the telegram channel "Honest Korolev!" About the situation in Buch, a news note with a statement by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu and the publication of the UN report, which described the humanitarian situation in Ukraine. From the case materials announced by the judge, it became known that these posts were discovered on the Internet by the FSB officers. Ivanov was accused by paragraph "d" of part 2 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public distribution of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation based on political hatred and hostility, up to 10 years in prison).
On April 12, the Korolev City Court sent the novel to custody.
His lawyer Katerina Tertukhina proposed to exempt to a guarantee, on bail of a million rubles, on a subscription of the lower right to leave, under the obligation to turn out or under house arrest, but the court ignored all the arguments.

- "What trouble?" - the prisoners ask each other when meeting, for example, in Avtosak. The question implies the reason why the person was behind bars. They respond to him with a number and part of the article of the Criminal Code, the most common of which everyone knows by heart. At first I surprised them with my article 207.3, about which no one heard, but you can get from 5 to 10 years.
Now, in the Noginsk prison, many people know that I am a journalist political prisoner with a prison nickname.
During the trips between the pre -trial detention center, the IVS and the Korolev City Court, people who squeeze their hands are expressed, express the words of support. I have not met a negative reaction towards me. As soon as the possibility of communication arises, talking about the situation in the country and disputes with those who are supporters of the current government immediately begin. But even they, not embarrassed, criticize it, for example, for failures in domestic politics. There are no satisfied with what is happening.
Taking advantage of the case, the person spoke to me who wrote a statement in the PMC and gathered on his. Perhaps I managed to influence his decision, explaining the moral component of such a step and role in world history textbooks. At least, he was forced to admit that not a single citizen of Ukraine did anything bad for him.
"What trouble?" - A very accurate question. Here, indeed, many were in trouble unexpectedly for themselves, having suffered from the judicial legal system.
Those whose act does not correspond to the severity of the incriminated crime, or completely innocent, the affairs against which are fabricated, are unreasonably behind bars.
Half of the people contained in the cells can be safely released home. Like me, they found themselves in a pre-trial detention center due to an unspoken agreement between the investigating authorities and courts, automatically satisfying applications for the imprisonment of the accused. This is done to simplify the work on criminal cases through psychological pressure on those who find themselves in dungeons.
Investigators who are building a career on affairs on “fakes”, “discrediting”, “extremism” and “terrorism” are especially trying. In my case, this is an employee from the city of Mytishchi, the GSU SK Yan Leshchenko, who broke the door to my apartment at 6 a.m. and sent me to jail for at least four months. All due to the fact that, in his opinion, I committed a serious crime against public security, posting in a small city public a link to the official report of the UN commission on the situation in Ukraine and the article by The New York Times with pictures of satellite monitoring of the earth's surface (...) on the streets of Buchi.
In the Investigative Committee, Jan Leshchenko specializes in Fakes. Last year, he arrested, kept in prison, and then sent to a psychiatric hospital a resident of the city of Korolev Maria Semerenko for a post on the social network Instagram*. The woman possessing normal human empathy (...) could not remain silent. She is also accused of publicly spreading knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. As a result, they broke her life.
If you think that what is happening to me is a rarity, then this is not so. It’s just that these cases of human -naval actions of the state usually remain without publicity.

So, together with me in prison is one of the victims of the senior investigator from the city of Elektrostal of the GSU SK Evgeny Safonov, who also prefers to walk along the career ladder, kalych of human destinies. This is a 23-year-old athlete Shamil Razakov. On October 18, 2022, in one of the shopping centers, he ran into two drunken men who insulted him and his friends on national grounds. The verbal skirmish ended with a fight in which no one was seriously injured. It would seem that an ordinary “hooligan”, but a few days later they began to turn it into a case under an extremist article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The tipsy men were mobilized, who went to his one.
The investigator Safonov immediately lit up his eyes - he began to find out who financed the attack on the "defenders of the country", trying to find a Ukrainian trace in the incident.
As a result, six people, including those who stood and did not participate in a fight, ended up in prison, and in the testimony of the victims there were cries of “Glory to Ukraine!” (...), who allegedly made the Dagestan and his friends. In prison, they have been eight months for eight months, while the examination has been trying to read the lips in the video, what did the participants in the conflict really say.
The worst thing is that the promising fighter of mixed martial arts Shamil Razakov hit a pre -trial detention center with a healthy person, and actually became a disabled person moving on crutches, as he partially paralyzed both legs. In the conditions of imprisonment, he was carried out only a superficial diagnostic examination, and still cannot be achieved by qualified medical care. In this state, Shamil is already more than six months old, but, despite this, the investigation is in no hurry to release it from the bars, and the case is never brought to court. Communicating with Shamil, I realized that the feeling of an inferior person in his own country, where we all seemed to be equal, regardless of nationality, most upset him.
It is difficult to even imagine how many people without a special occasion are annually passed through the torture of being in a pre -trial detention center, and subsequently convicted of undeserved time or completely received punishment without real guilt. Now it is almost impossible to prove your innocence. Last year, the number of acquittals, according to the Supreme Court, fell to a minimum of 0.34%. The investigation tells the accused that you can protect yourself in court, and the court always takes the position that the arguments of the investigation are convincing.
Things are stamped like on the conveyor, and rarely when it is possible to break its mechanism. Therefore, in prisons, attempts by arrested to commit suicide regularly take place. Unfortunately, often successful.
In my case, even despite the repressive component of the case and the anti -constitutionality of the legal norm, it remains incomprehensible why the state undertook to deal with a separate respectable citizen and his family, tearing it out of ordinary life and condemning to suffering without the right to date and calls. I’m not a politician, not an opposition activist, but a journalist who is persecuted for an independent position and activity in the author’s project “Honest Korolev!”. If the Russian authorities do not like the materials published at the international level, it is strange that she did not file lawsuits against the UN and The New York Times with a request to refute and compensate for the damage, and I, who simply carried out repost from respected international sources, can go to the places of imprisonment for 10 years and already be punished in the form of prison conclusions even before the sentence was sentenced. Sometimes it’s not that someone is difficult to explain to yourself what kind of trouble, and most importantly, when and how it ends for me.
