
The judge of Akhmatovsky (until recently - Leninsky) of the City Court of the Terrible Musa Ediev sentenced Zarem Musaev - the wife of the former Chechen judge and the mother of human rights activists - to 5.5 years of the colony of general regime on charges of fraud and the application of violence to a police officer. At the same time, the state prosecutor also insisted.
According to the member of the “team against torture” by Sergei Babinz, who was present on the verdict, the judge read out only the resolution of his decision - her announcement took 10 minutes. Ediev found Musaev guest in all respects. The full text of the sentence is expected to receive in five days.
One of the defenders of Musaeva, lawyer Alexander Nemov, arrived in the republic today early in the morning. He was accompanied by the observer of Novaya Gazeta Elena Milashin. On the way from the airport to the hotel, unknown people stopped their car. Muscovites were severely beaten - with their feet and batons. They were threatened with pistols, the equipment was taken away.
Due to the attack on Alexander Nyemov, another defender of Zarema Musaeva, Alexander Savin, petitioned the transfer of the sentence to another date, but Musa Ediev rejected this petition.

Zarem Musaev, recall, was taken from Nizhny Novgorod to Chechnya on January 22, 2022. Men in black jackets dragged a woman from an apartment in Nizhny Novgorod and forcibly took them to Grozny. As it turned out later, these were employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Chechnya. The 60-year-old Musaeva diabetes, but the security forces did not let the woman take insulin with them. Since then she is in a pre -trial detention center.
Zarem and Sayyy forced to leave Chechnya back in 2017. The reason was the persecution of their sons, Ibrahim and Abubakar, in connection with a critical position in relation to the Chechen authorities.
