Two people were killed by Kamikadze drones when attacking the Dnipropetrovsk region on the night of July 7.
The day before, on July 6, Lviv was shelling. According to the Ukrainian side, the Russians produced ten Caliber missiles, seven of which the Armed Forces managed to knock down. Russian missiles fell into an object of critical infrastructure and an apartment building residential, as a result, the upper floors in two entrances were destroyed. Ten people died, more than 40 civilians were injured. The mayor of the city, Andrei Sadovy, called the blow "the largest attack on the civilian infrastructure of Lviv since the beginning of a full -scale invasion. 35 houses were damaged. Serious defeats received 60 residential premises. 50 cars are also damaged. ”
On July 4, Russia struck the Iskander missile system in the city of Pervomaisky in the Kharkov region. 43 victims are reported, among them 12 children, many of whom are not yet three years old.
Also on July 4, Russian troops once again fired at Kherson. Two people died.
On Monday, July 3, shelling of the Shahed-136/131 drones was shot by the city of Sumy. It is known about the three dead. Various injuries received 21 peaceful residents.
And in the evening of June 27, the Russians made shelling of the center of Kramatorsk and the village of Belenko. 13 died and 60 people were injured.
“For a year and a half, we saw several different periods when the shelling of the territory of Ukraine took place with winged and ballistic missiles,” says Israeli military expert David Sharp, New Evrope. - The large -scale phase of the war began with massive attacks to many Ukrainian cities. We observed attempts to destroy airfields and other military facilities, suppress air defense systems. In autumn and winter, they purposefully beat the energy infrastructure. Obviously, the goal was to fully or partially disconnect the country from electricity, forced it to surrender. When this could not be done, the missiles began to be protected to the expected Ukrainian offensive. In addition, attempts to use the available intelligence information could be observed in parallel. Say, the Russians learned about the large accumulation of enemy forces in a certain place and tried to fire him. Such cases, presumably, include a recent blow to the pizzeria of front -line Kramatorsk, during which 13 were killed and 60 more were injured. Among the dead there are teenagers. This is a concrete example of violations of war rules. The version of Moscow about the destruction of two generals and a large number of high -ranking officers and advisers of the Armed Forces obviously does not withstand any criticism. Also sometimes we observe shelling from the RSOs Kherson, Nikopol and other cities on the principle of "whom God will send for."
Judging by the information in open sources, in the pizzeria of Kramatorsk during the missile shelling could be foreign volunteers supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So, it is known about the death of the US Marine Corps Yana, Frank, Tortorichi. Which, of course, does not make a blow to a peaceful cafe with civilian visitors less criminal.
Speaking about the blows in the depths of the Ukrainian territory by Russian winged and ballistic missiles, David Sharp refers to the lack of information for most of these cases. Considering the last blow to Lviv as an example, the Israeli military expert explains that neither the exact goal of the shelling, nor its real result is unknown. It has not yet been established whether there are any objects of the Armed Forces near the place of the explosion. Only after a certain time, probably, it will be possible to get more information, as happened with a missile blow on June 27, 2022 at a shopping center in the city of Kremenchug. This case was well investigated. It can be assumed that the Russians beat at a factory located next to the shopping center, but missed. Then 21 people died, and another 59 were injured. Thanks to the video, the type of ammunition used was determined and other circumstances of this war crime were established.
“Russia is aiming at civilian objects, because winged and ballistic missiles are an accurate weapon,” Roman Svitan Colonel Roman Svitan, a new-Europe colonel, tells. -I can call this practice a genocide or blackmail of a terrorist country. I suppose that Putin put forward a certain demand like freezing the offensive, the review of the order of the Hague court, or, for example, the conditions for a grain transaction, and now just kills Ukrainians as hostages. ”
“Logic suggests that, unlike“ grades ”or artillery, decisions on missile shelling are made at the very top of the military command,” adds David Sharp. - It is known that in Syria, the Russians struck on frankly peaceful goals. However, it is difficult for me to assume that in Ukraine their real task is civilian objects. There are no meaningful reasons to spend a rocket on an ordinary residential building. There are three main options for explaining hits on non -person buildings. The first is the human factor: the error occurs when the coordinate is input or during the control of the flying rocket. The second opportunity is a technical marriage made in the production of a projectile. The rocket is a very complex design, and even a slight violation in the mechanism can significantly affect the final result of the start. Also, as a working hypothesis, it is necessary to take into account the work of the air defense. It can lead to a fall in large fragments of low -flying missiles, including anti -aircraft, to peaceful houses. ”
Israeli expert says that
The trajectory and ultimate target of the cruise missile, unlike the ballistic, are almost impossible to calculate due to the fact that this type of weapon is very maneuverable and can make unexpected changes in the course.
According to David Sharp, after the winter shelling of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, Russia was engaged in the accumulation of missiles. In addition to the direct task of slowing down the onset of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the shelling probably had to have a psychological impact on the enemy and inflict economic damage to him. In addition, Ukraine is forced to spend additional resources: first of all, we are talking about air defense systems that have to be installed in large cities, and not at the front, where they are extremely necessary.
“I won’t be surprised if the shelling is caused by some intra -decrease reasons,” continues David Sharp, “for example, it is necessary to report upstairs and successes. Ordinary otkiya. At the same time, we must not forget that Moscow reserves in Moscow are limited. This is an expensive and complex weapon. We are talking about the new X-101 missiles, Caliber, cruise missiles for the Iskander-K complex, as well as the Iskander-M and Dagger ballistic missiles. An increase in the pace of their production, and possibly even maintaining this pace during sanctions at the pre -war level is problematic. It can be assumed that Russia is currently capable of producing dozens per month, possibly a little more than one hundred cruise missiles and a few ballistic units. By the end of the winter, it became obvious that this type of weapon needs to be saved to strike massive blows. Today we see that the tactics of the use of missiles have changed from the one -time launch of a large number of such shells and drones to the regular launches of their small number. ”
“Russia today can produce about 100 missiles monthly,” says Roman Svitan. “Once every three days, the Kremlin has the opportunity to run ten such shells for a very long time.”
In the Kiev region, air defense and missile defense systems work very efficiently. Therefore, it makes sense to shell this area in order to keep the capital in suspense. The Patriot PAC-3 system with interceptors of ballistic missiles, reliably covering Kyiv, according to David Sharp, has Ukraine in a single copy and has a relatively small radius of action. But Ukraine is a large country whose lion's share of the territory has not yet been protected properly. Blows in many large and medium-sized cities of missiles and drones-Kamikadze bring their deadly results.
“The Kremlin realized that Kyiv is well guarded by air defense systems, and now hesitates of other iconic settlements,” says Roman Svitan. - These include Lviv and Zaporozhye. In the case of shelling of the pizzeria in Kramatorsk, it was about hunting for Colombian politicians and volunteers who were in a cafe during the explosion. There was a gunner, subsequently detained and testified. ”
