
Bicycle drill is one of the best ways to get acquainted with the nature of the Leningrad region. The editor "Paper" and cyclist Nikita Pakharev prepared four routes for the whole day in the north of the Leningrad region.
Inside is a guide through thick spruce forests, sprawling fields and fords, past an abandoned military airfield and a 32-meter astronomical radar.
All routes pass along the forest roads - far from road traffic and noise, some of them can meet wild animals.
The circular route, which begins and ends at the railway station in Primorsk, can be reached from the Finland Station. He passes through the village of Manol and goes along the Gulf of Finland to the Kiperort peninsula, where the most interesting part of the walk is located.
On the peninsula there is a quiet Karelian forest with high pine trees, an abandoned coastal battery, 11 beaches on the Gulf of Finland and a small lake.
The length of the route is 57.8 kilometers. Without stops, it will take about four and a half hours, so you can safely lay on this walk all day.
There will be no stores on the route, so all the water and food should be taken in advance. Also, pay attention to the fact that half of the peninsula is part of a specially protected natural area, which means that there it is strictly forbidden to breed bonfires.
The shortest and most simple route of this collection, which starts from the Sosnovo railway station, can also be reached by train from the Finland Station.
The route goes through several picturesque fields and many small lakes to the Orekhovo station.
At the same time, this is the most embossed route of this collection, so sometimes you have to hurry and push the bike into the sand slide.
The length of the route is 33.3 kilometers. Its passage without stopping will take only three hours, so you can safely arrange picnics in the fields and shores of lakes.
There will be no stores on the route, so all the water and food should be taken in advance.
The most remote and difficult to reach the route, which begins in Kamennorsk - can only be reached there at the early "Swallow" from the Finland Station. Please note that you need to buy a ticket through the Russian Railways website in advance - there is a limited number of places.
The route passes through the picturesque places of the Karelian Isthmus - huge boulders, dark spruce forests, the passage through the city of Graduevka and, as usual, a lot of lakes, as well as an abandoned military airfield.
The length of the route is 62.6 kilometers - this is not the smallest adventure. Travel time without stopping can take up to 8 hours.
The route also does not contain stores along the way - buy food and food in advance. Most roads run along remote and wild places, so it is recommended to make noise along the road to avoid meeting with wild animals.
The longest route that begins in Kirillovsky. There, as well as to all starting points, you can get by train from the Finland Station.
The route passes through a few beautiful lakes of the Leningrad region, for example, deep, Vishnevskoye and Michurinskoye, and many no less beautiful fields. The program also has: the Karelian forest, very sharp descents (configure the brakes in advance and be careful, especially on the 56th kilometer), a huge astronomical radar and beautiful Karelian forests again.
The length of the route is 91 kilometers. Without stops, he can take you eight and a half hours.
This is the only route during which you will meet stores: in the brick, Krasnoselsky and bright. Part of the route passes along roads, so do not forget that your safety is above all.
