Politics Lyubov Sobol was fined 30 thousand rubles under the article on the absence of “foreign agent” markings (Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). This is reported by SOTA.
This decision was made by the Simonovsky District Court of Moscow. The reason for drawing up the protocol was the absence of a blank in the publications in her Telegram channel.
Roskomnadzor filed a lawsuit against the politician. Sobol's lawyer Vladimir Voronin noted that the agency is not authorized to monitor private individuals; this should be done by the Ministry of Justice. According to him, the case materials did not indicate who exactly carried out the inspection. In addition, the documents stated that the publications were made on Russian territory, although at that time Sobol had already left the country.
Sobol was added to the register of media “foreign agents” on May 6, 2022. She had already been fined under the article on the lack of “foreign agent” markings - in July and November of the same year, both times for 10 thousand rubles.
According to media reports, Sobol left Russia in August 2021 after being sentenced in a “ sanitary case ”: she was initially sentenced to a year and a half of restriction of freedom, but later this term was replaced with a real one. In October of the same year, she was put on the wanted list.
