There are already at least two thousand mercenaries of PMC Wagner in Belarus - Belarusski Gayun

At least two thousand Wagner PMC mercenaries have already arrived in Belarus, the OSINT project Belarusski Gayun has calculated. Investigators believe that there are up to 2.5 thousand mercenaries and at least 400 vehicles in the country.

According to investigators, mercenaries began coming to Belarus along with military equipment on July 11.

Today, investigators reported that arrived two more columns of PMC Wagner in the country today. In total they counted five columns. To date, more than 180 units of equipment from PMC Wagner have arrived in Belarus.

On July 17, PMC Wagner announced that the main base of PMC Wagner in Molkino, Krasnodar Territory, will be closed from July 30.

Let us recall that during the rebellion of PMC Wagner on June 24, Alexander Lukashenko reached an agreement with the mercenaries and allowed them to “relocate” to Belarus.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported that it has developed a “road map” for cooperation with Wagner PMC for the near future. It is planned to develop a “joint training system” for the Belarusian armed forces and Russian mercenaries.

Prigozhin's rebellion

On the evening of June 23, the head of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, accused the Ministry of Defense of striking the rear of the mercenaries and announced that he was starting a march on Moscow. Prigozhin also accused Army Commander Valery Gerasimov and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu of “genocide of the Russian people.”
During the rebellion, the mercenaries took control of the Headquarters of the Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don and advanced to Moscow, not reaching 200 kilometers.
On the morning of June 24, Vladimir Putin made an appeal: he called the actions of the mercenaries a betrayal and promised “inevitable punishment.”
Around 20:00, Lukashenko’s press service reported that he held negotiations with Prigozhin, as a result of which he agreed to de-escalate and withdraw troops with security guarantees for the militants. Half an hour later, Prigozhin confirmed that Wagner PMCs were returning to field camps.
