Three of the four authors of the bill on the deprivation of the citizenship of the Russian Federation on birth for political "crimes" and desertion recalled their signatures

Senators from Sevastopol Ekaterina Altabaeva and Sergey Kolbin and Senator from the LPR Olga Bas removed their names from the bill on the deprivation of Russian citizenship acquired by birth. This is evidenced by these databases of legislative initiatives.

Senator from Crimea Sergey Tsekov (before the annexation, he was a figure in the pro -Russian organizations of Crimea “Russian Bloc”, “Republican Party of Crimea”, etc.) told RIA Novosti that he was not going to recall the bill.

Deprivation or “termination” of citizenship of the Russian Federation contradicts Article 6 of the Constitution. Moreover, now in Russia a norm has been adopted in which it is possible to deprive the acquired non -birth of citizenship if a person has committed a crime (from this list ) or, according to the FSB, presents a “threat to security”.

One of the most reputable senators of the Russian Federation Andrei Klishas criticized the initiative to deprive citizenship by birth and invited the authors of the project to think about whether they should work in the Council of Council.
