Vladimir Putin signed a law on the increase in the age limit of stay in the reserve of the army of the Russian Federation for soldiers, sergeants and warrant officers from 50 to 55 years old.

An increase in the age limit applies to citizens with the title of soldiers, sailors, sergeants, foremen, warrant officers and midshipmen. The maximum age for such military liable for the first category will be increased from 35 to 40 years, for the second category - from 45 to 50 years, for the third - from 50 to 55 years. The discharge depends on age, title and floor.

Also, the law increases the marginal age of the residence in the mobilization reserve. For senior officers, it rises from 60 to 65 years old, for junior officers - from 55 to 60 years old, and for ordinary staff and warrant officers - from 45 to 55 years old. The maximum age in the mobilization reserve for senior officers will remain at the level of 70 years.
