He was accused of participating in the extremist community and organizations encroaching on the rights of citizens (Article 282.1 and 239 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The security forces detained Vadim Ostanin in December 2021. Three months later, the court arrested a man. Ostanin complained about the pressure from the security forces in the pre -trial detention center. In particular, they took him medicines and personal belongings.
Vadim Ostanin was engaged in anti -corruption activities in the Altai Territory. He led the headquarters of Navalny* first in Biysk, and then in Barnaul.
In June, Ostanin’s colleague from Ufa Liliya Chanyshev sentenced the court to 7.5 years in a colony. She was found guilty of calls for extremism, the creation of an organization that violates the rights of citizens, and participation in the extremist community.
