From the beginning of August, Raiffeisenbank will stop accepting cash dollars and euros at cash desks and branches

From August 1, 2023, Raiffeisenbank will temporarily stop accepting and buying cash euros and dollars at cash desks and branches. The corresponding message was published on the bank's website.

“The decision is related to the need to effectively manage the bank's foreign exchange position. When the situation changes, we will return this opportunity,” it says.

At the same time, the credit institution emphasized that currency transfers and the conversion of rubles into foreign currency are available in the mobile application and the online bank.

In addition, the bank reported that from August 1, a commission is being introduced for depositing rubles into ruble accounts at the bank's cash desks. When depositing an amount of less than 200 thousand rubles, it will be 1%, but not less than 300 rubles.

On the eve it became known that 11 out of 13 backbone Russian banks stopped accepting cash dollars and euros through their ATMs. Only Tinkoff and Alfa banks continue to do this. At the same time, a commission is charged from customers depositing currency.
