"My dad doesn't give up." Alexey Moskalev received a letter from his daughter

Single father Aleksey Moskalev, who was sentenced on March 28 to two years in prison under an article about “discrediting” the Russian army, received a letter from his daughter Masha. His excerpts were published by the channel "We Can Explain".

“My dad doesn't give up. He always goes forward with a clear smile and a mouth full of happiness! But dad is sad. So what's the problem, dad? He smiled and said: “I am glad that I have a huge family - this is my daughter and of course she, all the support from the yard,” Moskalev quoted his daughter’s poem.

In the same letter, Masha asked her father not to give up. "It's not the end of the world, we'll see you soon," she wrote.

On July 3, the Tula Regional Court considered the appeal against the sentence against Moskalev. Masha also wanted to come to the meeting, but she could not . The court then upheld the decision.

He also writes that since the moment a criminal case was brought against him, his daughter “had to make many adult decisions on her own.” Moskalev believes that at some points “she was much worse off” than he was. At the same time, he does not want to meet with his daughter.

“We could try to arrange a meeting with her, but I don’t want that. So that she sees me in such an unsightly perspective, and the girl can be very upset, ”writes Moskalev. According to him, now Masha is resting in a children's camp and feels fine. Moskalev believes that she is "better outside the shelter walls."

An administrative and then a criminal case against Aleksey Moskalev under the article on “discrediting” the army was opened after his daughter Masha drew an anti-war picture at school. However, the formal reason was his posts in Odnoklassniki about the killing of civilians in Bucha.

First, Moskalev was placed under house arrest, and his daughter was sent to an orphanage. Before the verdict was announced, he fled to Belarus. He was detained two days later and then taken to Russia. Masha spent a month in a shelter, after which her mother took her.
