A resident of Krasnodar was fined 200 thousand rubles because of a tattoo of a dog in a rainbow scarf.

A Krasnodar court fined local resident Sasha 200,000 rubles under an article about “LGBT propaganda” because of a tattoo of a dog wearing a rainbow scarf. This was reported by the human rights organization "Sphere".

At the end of June, two plainclothes policemen came to Sasha's house. According to them, the girl received a complaint because of her publications in social networks. As Sfera writes, Sasha runs an Instagram, which has 180 subscribers, as well as a small Telegram channel - it has already been deleted. The security forces said she was accused of “propaganda” for LGBT people and “discrediting” the Russian army.

Sasha was taken to the department. She managed to report the arrest to OVD-Info, but the police said that it was better for the lawyer not to come. “They said if a lawyer arrives now, we will generally launch the entire legal machine. We’ll dig up something else there and it will be even worse, ”Sasha said.

Her file includes several photos from Instagram with “No to war” graffiti, stories with reposts of LGBT content, as well as frames with her tattoo.

“I have a tattoo of a cartoon dog on my shoulder wearing a rainbow scarf with ‘gay dog’ written across the top. This, as it turned out, is also considered propaganda - a tattoo that I have on my body and which was somewhere visible in my photographs. This is generally complete absurdity, ”said Sasha.

Nevertheless, almost a month later, a trial took place and Sasha was fined. “After the amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the toughening of penalties for the article on “propaganda”, we see how enthusiastic operatives are in monitoring social networks, and the courts apply these rules in practice. For a post on social networks, a person is punished with a fine of 200 thousand rubles. Of course, we will appeal this decision,” Katya Dikovskaya, head of the Strategic Litigation program at Spheres, commented on the situation.

At the beginning of August, a court session will be held in Krasnodar in the case of Sasha about "discrediting" the Russian army.
