Peskov called drone strikes on Moscow “acts of despair”

The Kremlin commented on new drone attacks in Moscow and the Moscow region. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov called them terrorism and “acts of despair.”

“The Kyiv regime has no success. Moreover, the Kiev regime is in a very, very difficult situation. The special military operation continues. It is obvious that the counter-offensive is not working out as intended,” he said.

Peskov noted “that the multibillion-dollar resources that were transferred by NATO countries to the Kiev regime are actually spent ineffectively, spent aimlessly, and this also raises big questions in Western capitals and great discomfort among taxpayers of Western countries.”

“And, of course, there are some acts of desperation against the backdrop of these failures, and, of course, the Kiev regime is resorting to similar terrorist tactics of terrorist strikes,” he added.

On the night of July 30, Moscow and the Moscow region were attacked by drones. Two of them crashed into the Moscow City towers. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported “minor damage to the facades of two City office towers” ​​and no casualties.

It later turned out that a security guard was injured. The Ministry of Defense said that both drones were “suppressed by electronic warfare means.” Later, the department reported that another drone was shot down by air defense in the sky over the Moscow region.

As the Agency noted, federal channels did not report on the drone attack in their morning newscasts. Instead, they talked about the Navy parade in St. Petersburg, in which Vladimir Putin participated.
