On the night of August 1, drones again attacked Moscow. Two UAVs were destroyed over the Moscow region, another one fell on the territory of Moscow City, the Ministry of Defense reported.
“Several drones were shot down by air defense systems while attempting to fly to Moscow. One flew to the same tower in the City as last time,” Sergei Sobyanin wrote in his Telegram channel.
As a result of the attack, the building “facade was damaged on the 21st floor” and “glazing on 150 was broken.” Let us remind you that the IQ-Quarter tower houses the offices of government departments: the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development and others.
According to the Ministry of Defense, at night, air defense systems shot down two Ukrainian drones over the Odintsovo and Narofominsk districts of the Moscow region, and another drone “was suppressed by electronic warfare and, having lost control, crashed on the territory of the Moscow City non-residential building complex.”
In addition, the drone attack again affected the work of Vnukovo Airport. Flights were delayed, and arriving planes were diverted to other airports.
