A criminal case was opened against libertarian Mikhail Svetov for the rehabilitation of Nazism. this TASS reports with reference to law enforcement agencies.
The basis for the prosecution was that Svetov publicly performed a song in which “in a positive way it talks about the leader of the OUN-UPA Stepan Bandera.” According to TASS, Svetov published a video with the song in a libertarian chat on Telegram, and then other chat participants posted the video publicly.
In a commentary for the SVTV publication he founded, Svetov linked the criminal prosecution to a voice message where he sings a song by Ukrainian artist Orest Lyuty about Stepan Bandera.
According to the politician, he recorded this voice several years ago. At the same time, supporters of Vladislav Pozdnyakov’s “Male State” wrote several denunciations against him to the Investigative Committee, Svetov added.
