A resident of Krasnodar was fined under the article of “discrediting” the army because of the inscription “Sex is cool but putin`s death better” on her bag and anti-war graffiti

The Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar fined local resident Alexandra 30 thousand rubles under the article on “discrediting” the Russian army. The reason for this was photographs of bags and anti-war graffiti. She herself told Mediazona about this.

According to Alexandra, the case file includes several photographs from her Instagram, which has 180 followers. Among them there is a photo of a bag with the inscription “No to war”, a sticker “Peace”, anti-war graffiti, as well as a photo of a bag with the print “Sex is cool but putin`s death better”. (“Sex is cool, but Putin’s death is better”).

At the end of June, came two plainclothes police officers to Alexandra’s home. According to them, a complaint was received against the girl because of her publications on social networks. As the human rights organization Sfera reported, security forces then said that Alexandra was accused of “propaganda” of LGBT people and “discrediting” the Russian army. She was taken to the department and was not allowed to contact her lawyer.

“They said that if a lawyer arrives now, we will completely launch the entire legal machine. We’ll dig up something else there and it will be even worse,” Alesandra said then.

A month later, a Krasnodar court fined her 200 thousand rubles under an article on “LGBT propaganda” because of a tattoo of a dog in a rainbow scarf.
