Employees of the Ministry of Economic Development were transferred to remote work after a drone attack on Moscow City

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov has extended the remote work regime for ministry employees until September 1, 2023. this with reference to the relevant order. reports Kommersant

“To establish, by September 1, 2023, at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation a remote (remote) work mode for federal civil servants and workers holding positions that are not positions in the federal state civil service,” the document says.

In addition, Reshetnikov instructed the heads of the ministry’s structural divisions to convey to their subordinates “recommendations on the actions of government personnel in the event of a threat or commission of a terrorist act.” Also, a “mode of possible presence in the building of the government complex from 8:00 to 22:00” was introduced for employees of the Ministry of Energy.

The Moscow City business center was attacked by drones twice. The first time this happened was on the night of July 30, when two towers were damaged: “IQ-quarter” and “Oko-2”. The second time, on the night of August 1, the drone struck the IQ Quarter again. This tower houses seven different ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
