The Prosecutor General's Office declared the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies an "undesirable organization." this . reports The press service of the department
“Since 2014, under the guise of educational activities, events organized by the Center are focused exclusively on creating a negative image of the Russian Federation, justifying the need for military-political and information confrontation with Russia, and increasing sanctions pressure in order to harm the economic development of our country,” the department believes.
Wilfried Martens is a politician and former prime minister of Belgium who founded the non-governmental organization Center for European Studies in Brussels in 2007.
The center's boards include former prime ministers of Poland, Spain, Sweden, Malta and other countries, former and current members of the European Parliament and various European departments, members of The European People's Party (EPP) , as well as academics and researchers. The organization holds conferences, including those on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and provides commentary to the media.
