The lawyer of a Ukrainian suspected of sabotage at a Samara oil plant said that his client was beaten in a pre-trial detention center

“At that moment, when Sergei was sitting and writing this, I noticed that his left arm - namely, most of the shoulder and forearm - was purple. It was clear that these were hematomas, which on August 1, when I was in his pre-trial detention center, did not yet exist,” Lebedev also said.

According to the lawyer, when asked about the hematomas, Okrushko “without hesitation” replied that he received them during his arrest, but “they only appeared now.”

“Solidarity Zone” writes that the Ukrainian was beaten to persuade him to refuse an independent lawyer.

Information about the arrest of Sergei Okrushko appeared on July 29. State Duma deputy from United Russia Alexander Khinshtein claims that the man planted a bomb at the Samara oil refinery, after which he tried to leave Russia for Kazakhstan. Nothing is known about the explosion at the plant.
