The Kaluga Museum of Garbage “Mu-Mu” removed the work of “Icon” from the exposition after complaints and threats of Orthodox activists from the forty magpies. This was reported on the website of the museum.

The exhibit "Icon" is assembled from old microcircuits and boards. Activists of the movement considered that the work offends the sense of believers. They complained to the Investigative Committee and the Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapshe.

The first post about the work appeared in the Teleogram channel “Forty forties” on August 2, it noted that in the Museum of Garbage “an icon with the perverted images of the Virgin and the Bogadrenz Christ” was put up in it. Activists added that "by placing the icon in this form and in such a place, the organizers actually tried to equate the saints for believers to the garbage, and the images themselves presented in the form of a caricature, also made with elements of garbage."

“Apparently, the museum’s directorate does not have enough intelligence to understand that there is a taboo that cannot be crossed, that the holy one cannot be touched for people. Perhaps the museum’s directorate in the region, where in different cities up to 30 percent of poorly speaking Russian migrants and “new Russian” migrants, does not understand that in such conditions all the more you need to keep your faith and values, and not put them up for reproach? ”, The publication of forty forty said.

One of the supporters of the Orthodox movement wrote in the comments to the post that the director of the museum “needs to chop the head in public on Red Square”, the other answered him: “Well, yes, I think so too. In their appeal, the museum representatives wrote that many employees were surprised by “aggression, anger without an attempt to even hear the other side and frank intimidation” by activists.

“Mu-Mu” emphasized that the exhibit was returned to the owner who will turn to the state cultural examination, which will determine the “presence or absence of the objects of the characteristics of the subject”, and ask priests to evaluate both the work itself and the reaction of activists to it. The museum promised to publish the results. In response to this movement “Forty Magpies”, he called for to continue to complain in the UK.

The author of the work is the name of Mikhail Soldatenkov, now his page is removed from the site "Mu-Mu", but its archival version has been preserved . It says that the artist for a long time was engaged in the restoration of carving, gilding and painting of temples, and now he creates covers for musical albums and art objects, in which, in his opinion, “there is a spiritual meaning”.
