History as a science

But the school course of history is different. He is not too aimed at the awakening of curiosity to the past - you never know what values ​​you can get to the bottom of your own. Its goal is to show the notorious experience of older generations and legitimize their dominance over the younger ones.

To argue that the school course of history forms for life ideals and values ​​is a great exaggeration. Today's 60- and 70-year-olds studied from textbooks full of contempt for kings and priests and romance in relation to revolutions and the struggle of the poor against the rich. But then everything turned out to be not so linearly and the values ​​preinstalled at school slowly changed. Unnoticed by the carriers themselves. ”
