New history textbooks for 10th and 11th grades have been introduced in Russia. These will be uniform state textbooks for everyone; one of the authors and project manager is Putin’s assistant Vladimir Medinsky. In textbooks on the history of Russia, chapters devoted to the period from the 1970s to the 2000s were rewritten, and a section was added about a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
