The reason for this was, among other things, the films “Perfect Strangers” and “The English Barber” (Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Administrative Code).

The VimpelCom lawyer said at the meeting that the company did not have the goal of “propaganda, calls for gender reassignment and other sexual deviations,” RIA Novosti reported from the court ( quoted by Kommersant). He added that the online cinema, “realizing the mistake made,” changed the labeling to “18+” even before drawing up the protocol.

Access to the service can only be obtained by subscription, which minors cannot have, the lawyer emphasized. According to him, it cannot be proven that children actually watched this content. To this, a representative of Roskomnadzor replied that adults, when showing films to their children, are guided by the age label.

Last week, a court in Pereburg fined the same amount the online cinema Okko because of the 16+ label on films “containing demonstrations of non-traditional sexual relationships,” including “Perfect Strangers” and “The English Barber.” Previously, for the same reason, a fine of 1 million rubles was imposed on Rostelecom.
