The Naberezhnye Chelny City Court sentenced local resident Marat Yagudin to six months of correctional labor with the withholding of 5% of his salary in favor of the state in the case of “fake news” about the army (Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). published The verdict was handed down on July 13. The case was opened against the man due to comments published on VKontakte on March 19 and May 18, 2022. Yagudin admitted his guilt and stated that at the time of publication of the comments he did not agree with the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine and decided to express his dissatisfaction in this way.
The man repented of his actions and published a public apology as advertisements in three issues of the city newspaper, and also transferred five thousand rubles to a charity fund for children with leukemia.
During the consideration of the case, Yagudin was under recognizance not to leave the place.
