Transgender blogger Milana Petrova has been in a special detention center for 24 hours. This was reported by OVD-Info with reference to the closed telegram channel “Molniya Moscow”, which Petrova advertised on her blog.
According to OVD-Info, the channel published a photo of the blogger with signs of beatings and an audio message in which Petrova says that “everything is fine, relatively speaking.” on Petrova’s Telegram channel On August 12, a message appeared about her detention at Domodedovo airport. The reasons for the detention are unknown.
On August 14, the Molniya Moscow public page published a post stating that the Domodedovo press service did not confirm Petrova’s detention at the airport. At the same time, the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina , reported that the blogger was fined 200 thousand rubles under the article on “LGBTQ propaganda” (Part 3 of Article 6.21 of the Administrative Code) and 50 thousand under the article on “discrediting” the army (Part 1 Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code).
