"Dossier": VTB and Rotenberg structures finance PMC "convoy"

Vladimir Putin and Andrey Kostin

The private military company "Convoy", which is based in the annexed Crimea, receives multimillion funding from VTB Bank and the structures of the Russian businessman Arkady Rotenberg. This is stated in the investigation of the Dossier Center.

According to the investigators, in only a month and a half of the fall of 2022, the convoy received 437.5 million rubles. Of these, 120 million came from the accounts of the Ai -Petri sanatorium, privatized by Rotenberg, 200 million from VTB, the remaining money - from some fuel companies.

Part of the trenches was decorated as charitable donations. Money is transferred mainly through the mediation of the St. Petersburg Cossack Society "Convoy", while the society does not conduct any public activity.

PMC "convoy" was founded in the fall of 2022. Its head is called Konstantin Pikalov, who previously served in Wagner PMC in Central Africa.

Journalists argue that the "convoy" acts in the interests of the head of the Crimea, the head of the Crimea Sergei Aksyonov. The PMC training base is located Bod Simferopol. According to the "dossier", the fighting section of the "convoy" is located in the Kherson region.
