
The Investigative Committee of Russia opened the second criminal case against the Airlines Red Wings over the past two days.
The press service of the Investigative Committee reported on the order of the head of the department Alexander Bastrykin to initiate the case under the article on the provision of unsafe services. The day before, she also reported that the case was initiated under another article - about the inadequate performance of the services.
A few days ago, due to technical malfunctions, two of the three Boeing 777 aircraft that the company is operating was temporarily out of order. As a result, many hours of flight delays arose - tourists, in particular, could not fly out of Turkish Antalya for more than a day. Red Wings have several flights for transporting passengers by Icarus.
The first criminal case is connected precisely with the delays in flights on August 12-14. According to the Investigative Committee, "passengers had to be in uncomfortable conditions for a long time and wait for the departure."
The airline reported that the problems have been eliminated, and from August 16 it will return to the usual field schedule. On Wednesday, the Investigative Committee opened one more thing, accusing Red Wings of on August 13 she sent a faulty aircraft for passengers to Antalya. It is alleged that an air conditioner did not work on board the aircraft from Antalya to Moscow, "as a result, a real threat to the safety of the life or health of passengers arose." These accusations have not yet commented on the airline.
In total, there are three Boeing -777 Red Wings Park - these are wide -body long -range aircraft that only a few Russian airlines have.
