Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports restricted arrivals and departures of aircraft

Due to restrictions on flights at Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports, some flights have been redirected to airports in other cities.

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to air services , telegram channels Baza and “112”. The Baza Telegram channel also writes about the introduction of the “Carpet” plan at all Moscow airports.

In the morning, the Ministry of Defense reported on downed drones in the Istra and Ruzsky districts of the Moscow region. There were no casualties.

It is also reported that one of the flights from Yekaterinburg landed in Kazan instead of Sheremetyevo. The pilot announced that all Moscow airports were closed, the plane would be refueled and it would fly to its destination in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the flight passengers.

From 8:30 a.m., Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports operate as normal.

A day earlier, on August 20, Sobyanin reported a night attempt to attack a drone on Moscow, due to which Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports were temporarily closed in Moscow.
