Context. In April, the St. Petersburg City Court appointed the historical and cultural examination of the Basevich house to determine whether it has a value sufficient to include cultural heritage in the list of objects of cultural heritage.

The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, after that instructed his subordinates in St. Petersburg to continue the investigation of the demolition of historical buildings.
