Russian official sources, including the authorities of the annexed Crimea and the Ministry of Defense, did not comment on reports of the landing of the Ukrainian military.
A day earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of a Russian S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system in the area of the village of Olenevka, five kilometers from the village of Mayak. The Main Intelligence Directorate did not specify how exactly the anti-aircraft installation was destroyed, but stated that this was a “painful blow” to the Russian air defense system, which would affect “further events in occupied Crimea.”
