The Russian Volunteer Corps ( RVC ), fighting on the side of Ukraine, recorded a video message addressed to the Wagner PMC mercenaries. The leader of the RVC, Denis Nikitin (Kapustin), speaks in the video.

"I appeal to the fighters of the Wagner PMC, for whom valor and honor still have at least some meaning. Apparently, yesterday your founding father and commanders were cynically executed. And you know very well who is behind this. Therefore, now you are faced with a serious choice: either join the stable of the Russian Defense Ministry and serve as watchdogs for the executioners of your commanders, or take revenge. To take revenge, you need to go over to the side of Ukraine. If you have not committed war crimes, we invite you to join our ranks. Let's finish the bloody meat grinder of the SVO together, and then march on Moscow. And this time we will not stop 200 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road, but will go to the end," the leader of the RDC says in his address.

The group's Telegram channel notes that if the mercenaries voluntarily go over to the Ukrainian side, the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will allegedly "guarantee you security and decent conditions." Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities did not comment on this.

On August 23, a plane crashed in the Tver region, which was allegedly carrying the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the PMC commander Dmitry Utkin (he is Wagner) and other employees of the paramilitary structure. The plane crash occurred exactly two months after the start of the mutiny organized by Prigozhin.
