In Yekaterinburg, the murder of a graduate student from Gabon is being investigated

On August 25, a farewell to the Gabon Republic, a graduate student of the Ural Federal University (URFU) Francois Nadlassili, killed on the city of August 18 in the city center in the Burger King cafe, will take place in Yekaterinburg. The murder happened a day before the start of the Universiade - international sports student competitions. According to the version, which was the first to spread in the media, the crime was committed on racial grounds.

Francois Nadlassili was 32 years old . The African came to Yekaterinburg from Gabon for his studies. He graduated from undergraduate and magistracy at the Institute of Economics and Administration of the URFU, entered graduate school at the Department of Economics and Nature Management . After her comments, the media, according to the witness, she began to receive threats, and her Instagram was hacked.

The alleged killer was detained by the police the very next day, August 19, but his name was not yet revealed in the media publications. A petition appeared on the Change.org website, the author of which, who called Naslassili “our friend”, insists that the crime was committed for racial motives, and requires real terms for killers. In a few days it was signed by more than 3 thousand people.

Closer to the evening of August 20, a curious news appeared in the Antifa.ru telegram channel: “The African graduate student killer in Yekaterinburg turned out to be a neonacist skinhead. In the neo -Nazi channel, where they systematically posted a video of racist attacks, they announced a fee for a killer lawyer <...> Francois Nadlassili. The authors claim that a killer is a certain Fomin Danil Andreevich. A photo of a young man dressed in the style of skinhead is attached to the post. If the collection of money is not a scam to earn on young Nazis subscribers, then the version of the racist murder can be considered confirmed, ”writes the author of the channel.

Card details were also attached to the post in the Nazi public with a note: "The card belongs to Danil himself, but it is at his father." The next post there also read that Fomin "was one (not counting the girl) against two blacks." Thus, these messages with the surname, the name, patronymic and photograph of the suspect in the fascist public appeared earlier than his personal data were officially published in the media.

On August 21, a spontaneous memorial arose on a parapet near the ill -fated cafe in memory of Francois, but it was defeated by two young people in camouflage. Then the memorial was restored and even organized some semblance of duty near it.

On the afternoon of August 21, a court session was held to choose a preventive measure for the accused of the murder of a graduate student. It really turned out to be a 23-year-old resident of the Sverdlovsk region Danil Fomin. He was charged with the murder - part of the first article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, writes IT's My City publication with reference to the representative of the investigation. The court sent the accused in jail until October 17. The prosecution considered that Fomin could hide from the investigator, as he had already tried to hide immediately after the incident, and in addition he does not work anywhere and does not study.

Fomin Sr. also explained that since Francois was almost professionally engaged in boxing, his son had no other way out, except to poke the opponent with a knife. It seems that it was this version that Danil Fomin himself voiced in court.

However, the network edition of Ura.ru also gives the words of a certain eyewitness who contradict this: “At first, a dark -skinned guy fought with a friend of the accused one on one. According to Kulaeva, not only national affiliation, but also the social characteristics of the deceased testifies to racial motif.

The human rights activist also recalls that for many participants in the process on that old case there was a real threat of attack by neo -fascists, and the judge was even provided with state defense. Today, Stefania doubts that the case of Naslassili will be investigated precisely as a murder for racial motives, especially at the moment when the International Universiade takes place in Yekaterinburg.

- Here was the first court, the guy was sent into custody. It seems that the motive of hatred in court did not appear. This suggests that there is some desire for the investigation not to exaggerate this situation, since racism always looks especially bad, it is an international event. Messages flashed in the Ural media that Danil was not alone there. There must be an accusation “killing as part of a group of persons on the motive of racial hatred”, but the investigation can present a less difficult composition - without a group and motive, ”she says.

Stefania is also sure that racism in modern Russia is systematic, and advises in the study of this phenomenon to rely on the research of the “Levada Center” and the Owls liquidated by the authorities.

And for some reason, gypsies or Jews are hated for some reason and for some reason they love power. The difference is that the gypsies actually do not kill anyone. Therefore, racism is an irrational thing, all sorts of arguments are only summed up for it. Racism leads to the death of such beautiful, educated, cute, beautiful people like this African student.

And in modern Russia, which has rustled to the position of its own exclusivity and moral superiority over the rest of the world, it turned out the other way around - the authorities, as it were, legitimize household nationalism. See with what rapture they long will: “We are Russians! What a delight! " Now, if you look down on all others, then you are a real “Russian patriot”. Such fierce flirting with the ideal of the "Russian world" do not pass with impunity. In the USSR, nationalism was rather a form of non -conformism, because ethnic tolerance and internationalism were officially planted. Solidarity was class in nature.

And now hatred is officially imposed in relation to those who do not want to speak Russian. And therefore, now nationalism is becoming "socially approved."

- We often hear that the FSB and the police, which should, in theory, work with radical groups, not only do not stop their activities, but, conversely, encourage it. Is it so?

- The FSB has a very dialectical relationship with them: the special services simultaneously suppress these groups and try to use them in their interests. That is, if someone is completely ill in this environment in this environment, then it will be destroyed, and let it be loyal. This is one of the tools that can be used against liberals, for example. It is possible that they are killed by Markelov with Baburova, or it is possible that Navalny's green green is doused. Such catching paramilitaris. But if the authorities think that they are too strongly strengthened and begin to pose a threat - as it was with the "Russian marches" - then they begin to crush them. In general, unity and struggle of opposites.

- For those who do not believe them, they have a large stick prepared, this is an authoritarian regime. This democracy would be confused: "Something is unconvincing with us, which means that we will lose the next elections." And here everything is simple: here is our discourse, and anyone who does not agree, he is an enemy, his in prison.

- I also wanted to ask about fascist publics. It seems like there is a consensus in society around the world that fascism and Nazism are an absolute evil, nevertheless, some people prick their own swastikas and honor commemorative dates associated with the Third Reich.

- At the heart of all this are protest moods, dissatisfaction with the quality of life. Just someone-the one who is smarter-explains why we live so badly, the lack of democracy, authoritarianism, poor-quality control, and so on, and the one who is simpler, finds other explanations-because the “color” came in. This is a matter of identity with whom people associate themselves. So he decided that being Russian is cool that since he was Russian, he is cool, he perceives everything through the national prism, and describes enemies in ethnic terms, that is, not just oligarchs, but Jewish oligarchs are to blame for everything.

- Is there any household nationalism?

- We are absolutely eradicated, just the state and elites should stop talking in hatred. They should start talking with real respect for another - to someone who does not look like them. Then, through one or two generations, this will disappear, as in Europe, for example, is happening now. There, of course, due to problems with mass migration, the right lift their heads, but long-term-fundamental-the trend is completely different: tolerance for another, respect for it. This trend will still win: see how the West has stood up to the defense of Ukraine.

- Do you have an idea, is this household racism and nationalism is really experiencing a surge in us now?

- In general, society is not much infected with this, not much stronger than it has always been. It’s just that all this is on the surface now, cultivated by the authorities, and it seems that literally the whole country is permeated with this. In fact, now the mass rejection of the language of hatred begins now. I recently published data from focus groups that demonstrate it. Putin brought the ideals of “strong hand”, “patriotism”, xenophobia to such an absurdity that people from all this begin to literally feel sick.
