On the morning of August 25, lawyers arrived in Grozny, where they were taken out of St. Petersburg. Not a single police department from the security forces of St. Petersburg could not find a girl. Lawyers were redirected to the department in the Akhmatovsky district, where they were told that the girl would be brought to the department closer to 18 o’clock. It was not possible to meet with the client’s lawyers - Suleimanov was interrogated as a witness, and not as a suspect, forced her to write a refusal from lawyer services and handed over to the relatives at the exit from the department.
The detention of Sedya Suleimanova in St. Petersburg became known on August 24. Last year, Seda had already addressed the human rights activists. She feared that her family could commit an “murder of honor” because of the insufficient, according to relatives, the religiosity of the girl. Suleimanova, six months ago, moved to Petersburg and lived with her young man. In winter, the girl was already kidnapped by her brothers, but then she managed to escape.
