In the Primorsky Territory, a federal emergency is being introduced to get help and cope with the consequences of the flood.

“A federal level of response has been introduced. This will allow the region to more quickly receive assistance from the federal center, including financial assistance, to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster,” said Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of the Primorsky Territory.

Due to the cyclone in Vladivostok, almost half of the monthly precipitation fell in a few hours; according to the forecast, about 130 millimeters more will fall. 16 streets were flooded, some had mudflows. 70 thousand people were left without electricity.
