According to them, on August 26, shortly before the scheduled start of the tournament, a SOBR detachment arrived at the site. The security forces forced everyone present to the ground, and the organizer of the event, Maxim Z., was tortured.

“They shocked the organizer, told him not to hold events that were not approved by government agencies, and demanded to cancel the concert that was supposed to take place after the tournament,” said a participant in the competition.

It is reported that anti-fascists and communists from Moscow, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo and Rybinsk, as well as representatives of the local branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, came to take part in the “Red Corner” boxing tournament.
