Political prisoner, mathematician and anarchist Azat Miftakhov was detained at the exit from IK-17 in Omutninsk. Those meeting him reported that the mathematician was taken by car to Kirov. The trial to select a preventive measure will take place on September 5.

The initiation of a new criminal case against the anarchist became known on August 25. Most likely, he is going to be accused of “approving” the explosion at the Arkhangelsk FSB Directorate in a conversation with prisoners, Azat’s support group reports . Under the article on “justification of terrorism” Azat faces up to five years in prison. The political prisoner was also notified that he would be charged on September 4.

The explosion at the Arkhangelsk FSB Directorate was carried out in October 2018 by 17-year-old anarchist Mikhail Zhlobitsky. He died, and three FSB officers were wounded. According to the message that Zhlobitsky left on social networks, with the help of the terrorist attack he protested against the arbitrariness of the security forces. According to OVD -info, at least 53 criminal cases were opened in Russia for “approval” of Zhlobitsky’s action.
