A group of doctors in St. Petersburg was accused of corruption

Military investigators of St. Petersburg completed an investigation into a criminal case against doctors. They were obvious in the fact that they made false diagnoses to his conscripts, Kommersant writes without reference to the source.

What doctors are accused of. According to investigators, a group of St. Petersburg doctors made recruits non-existent diagnoses for 250-300 thousand rubles. Doctors put pictures of patients with flat feet, stomach ulcer or heart defect in personal affairs.

Men who paid doctors received category “B” - they were exempted from service in an urgent army in addition to mobilization or martial law.

What is known about the criminal case. Military investigators became interested in the work of doctors in the fall of 2022, when the FSB checked the personal affairs of men with category “B”.

Then, a specialist in information technology and communications at Dijital IT Design, Nikita Minichin, during an interrogation, told the security forces that he paid 250 thousand rubles to a friend who helped him receive exemptions from military service.

In October 2022, investigators decided that suspected doctors had fake diagnoses for five years. Every year they helped 20-25 men who did not want to serve in the army. A criminal case was opened on a large -scale bribe (part 5 Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Presumably, the ex-head of the Center for Military-Medical Examination of St. Petersburg Vladimir Kilimchuk led by doctors. All defendants except him pleaded guilty. Kilimchu himself said that his subordinates slandered him.

Doctors face up to 12 years in prison.
