The Pervomaisky District Court of Kirov arrested mathematician Azat Miftakhov until November 3 on a new case of “terrorist propaganda.” this , citing its own correspondent in the courtroom. reports Mediazona

According to him, the investigation demanded the arrest of Miftakhov, citing the testimony of his former cellmates, according to which he allegedly said that after his release from the colony he was going to leave the country.

According to the investigation, Miftakhov, “being an active participant in the terrorist organization People's Self-Defense, committed an intentional crime, namely, he carried out propaganda of terrorism among convicts.”

The reason for the new accusation against Miftakhov was the testimony of three prisoners, who stated that on May 21, while watching TV together, Miftakhov spoke approvingly about the actions of the anarchist Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who blew himself up in the building of the FSB administration in the Arkhangelsk region. Miftakhov himself denies this.

On September 4, the six-year sentence that Miftakhov was given in the case of a broken window in the United Russia office in 2018 ended. At the exit from the colony, Miftakhov was detained by security forces.
