Boris Vishnevsky asked the St. Petersburg authorities to protect the “Last Address” signs

The deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Boris Vishnevsky sent requests to the city authorities to dismantle the “Last Address” signs.

Details . Vishnevsky wrote to Vice-Governors Nikolai Linchenko and Boris Piotrovsky with a request to recognize memorial signs with elements of improvement. According to the deputy, this will protect them from illegal dismantling.

Also, Vishnevsky believes, this would be an important step in the implementation of the state concept to perpetuate the memory of the victims of political repression. The deputy said that three years ago the city government already promised to develop a decree that defended memorial signs, but “WHO and now there”.

On Monday, September 4, it became known that 34 “Last Addresses” signs, which disappeared from the house of specialists on the Vyborg side, was removed by the management company due to the complaint on the portal “Our St. Petersburg”. A certain Alexander S. complained that the “last address” was associated with the “memorial” and asked to verify the legality of establishing the tablets by the foreign agent with a project.

Also on September 4 it became known that on Vasilievsky Island, another sign of the “last address”, installed two days before.
