Protection of Vladimir Kara-Murza* asks the FSIN of Russia to return their client from the stage

The petition of the lawyers of Vladimir Kara-Murza to release from punishment for health reasons was not sent from pre-trial detention center to court, which is a gross violation of the law. The lack of the necessary treatment can lead to irreversible consequences.
On September 4, the Russian opposition to the 25 years of Russian opposition Vladimir Kara-Murza was sent to the stage in an unknown direction. Its lawyers were informed verbally that he "was going to the pre-trial detention center of Omsk." How much the stage will go and where they will send Vladimir Kara-Murza further, they did not say.
This news was extremely concerned about his lawyers. The fact is that on August 4 they wrote a petition to the Golovinsky court of Moscow on behalf of their client.
The petition said the need to release Vladimir Kara-Murza from serving a sentence in accordance with the Decree of the Government of Russia No. 54 of February 6, 2004. This resolution provides a list of diseases that prevent the serving of a sentence.
Vladimir Kara-Murza suffers from polyneuropathy-a disease of the nervous system, which is included in this list of diseases and, according to the law, Vladimir Kara-Murza should be released from serving the sentence.
While in the Moscow pre-trial detention center, Vladimir Kara-Murza was twice examined by prison doctors: neurologist A. Budina. March 3, 2023 and in April 2023 by another neurologist. Both specialists were unanimous in their diagnoses: “Lower distal polyneuropathy of obscure genesis. The consequences of the toxic effects of the unknown substance in 2015 and in 2017 ”(March 2023).
“Polyneuropathy of toxic inflammatory genesis with damage to the nerves of the lower extremities and the left middle nerve” (April 2023).
According to specialist doctors, polyneuropathy refers to one of the most severe neurological disorders. This disease can end with complete paralysis of the distal planes of the body and respiratory organs, which is deadly.
It is not even clear to specialists that in places of serving the sentence to Vladimir Kara-Murze, the necessary medical treatment cannot be provided, which can lead to death.
On August 4, Kara-Murza’s lawyers transferred their petition to the Golovinsky court through the SIZO-5 office, about which the appropriate stamp was set. According to the law, the head of the pre-trial detention center was supposed to send Vladimir Kara-Murza to a medical examination, which is carried out by medical staff of the prison system (now they are formally independent, belong to the MSCh ( the medical and sanitary unit.-Ed. ) And which then should have been transferred to the same Golovinsky court, where, at the request of Vladimir Kara-Murza, the issue of his release from serving the sentence due to health reasons.
However, as the opposition lawyers found out, on September 4, 2023, this is an urgent petition, which refers to life and death, was not not only registered by the SIZO-5 administration-the employees pretended as if this petition did not (although the lawyers have a stamp on the adoption of this document), but it was not sent to the Golovinsky court.
It turned out that the head of the SIZO-5 did not even think to request documents on the health of Vladimir Kara-Murza in the medical unit, which he should have done by law. Instead, Kara-Murza, suffering from a serious illness, was sent at the stage even unaccompanied by a doctor.
This is a gross violation of the law - and the Higher leadership of the FSIN should deal with it.
Therefore, lawyers immediately sent a complaint to the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia to the actions of the leadership of the SIZO-5. Defenders are asked to suspend the stage of Vladimir Kara-Murza and urgently send him to a medical examination.
But in fact, lawyers demand to fulfill the law of the Russian Federation and prevent the possible death of their client.
