Former head of Rusnano Anatoly Chubais refused to comment to TASS on Vladimir Putin’s words that his activities at the head of the state corporation “obviously failed” from a financial point of view.

“I would not like to comment on anything that was said,” Chubais responded to the agency.

Speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum, Vladimir Putin called Chubais “Moshe Izrailevich” and said that a “huge financial hole” had formed in Rusnano, but did not provide specific figures.

At the same time, Putin noted that no criminal cases were opened against Chubais and therefore he does not understand why he “fled” from the country. According to Putin, Chubais allegedly “switched to an illegal position” in Israel. “Why does he need this, I honestly don’t understand,” said the Russian president.
