Its creators from July 29 began to actively look for a mass of filming in Minsk. Based on their requests, we are talking about episodes with the participation of football fans, media employees, doctors, police officers, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, airport employees, the administration of an unnamed president, etc.
Information about the project in the ads is given very sparingly, only the genre is clear - a spy detective. But judging by the story of the actors from different film sets, there are roll calls with reality. For example, the changed names of the Velcat and Twpinfo television channels - analogues of real Polish channels Belsat and Tvpinfo appear.

According to a number of sources taken, this project is not a movie, but a series about modern politics and the role of Russian diplomats in it.
Some interlocutors characterize it as a Russian “house of cards”, in the likeness of the famous American political show, which exposes the unpleasant sides of American politics. But it is more likely that the Russian Gate is a kind of continuation or heir to the TV series “ Embassy ” of 2018, created by order of the Russian NTV television channel. Events take place in it in an unnamed country of Eastern Europe, and the main characters are Russian diplomats who are trying to figure out the arrested first secretary of the Russian embassy - the policy was detained by local special services with the case of narcotic drugs. Throughout the development of history, it becomes clear that the diplomat was framed and foreign provocateurs are weaving against him.
A very similar description floats from the plot of Russian Gate.
